: Beyond the Point of Stopability

Running downhill is fun, it gives added super-speed that could not be acquired otherwise. There is a point where your legs seem to be moving on their own, you are basically falling in an upright position and there is no stopping you, you have gone beyond the point of stopability.
Also the third frame with Wally falling straight down from an object that is flying forward based on his forward momentum is bold demonstration that this comic will not be intimidated by actual physics. 😉

In the immortal words of Scotty of the Enterprise – “You canna change the laws of physics”.
Hey now, mayhaps the box has a good deal of lift. Also, Wally may have pushed off when he fell, such that the box and Osbourne accellerated away from the cliff edge while Wally accellerated toward it such that he balanced out his forward momentum.
But it’s the roundels in Wally’s eyes that I cherish.
The last panel reminds me of the last panel of the strip” toboggan: brake chute”. Osbourne just doesn’t understand what’s going on around him in both of them. 🙂 : roll:
Cartoon physics are still physics! At least that would make Physis class all that more interesting.
I believe this particular rule is called Road-Runnering. A character won’t fall (more often than not, the Coyote) until he realizes he is on mid-air.

Wally totally fell out of the box leaving Osbourne in the air! That’s funny cause Osbourne hasn’t fallen, but if he open his eyes…he will…ROFL.

i love running dowm hills but oim a total clutz(even my dad has called me that) so i start at the top of the hill running and get at the end falling or tumbleing
