53: Penguinus Maximus: Thawing
Sep 7, 2005

This creature isn’t entirely fictional, other than maybe the thawing back to life part… and I don’t believe Penguinus Maximus was an official scientific name. But there were in fact prehistoric penguins. From fossil findings they stood nearly six feet tall and weighed in at up to 300 pounds.

In 1312, prehistoric penguins fell into ice caverns and became frozen in ice. And, in 1990, scientists found them in the penguins in the ice cavern And in 1499, normal penguins arrived.
