Back in time, way before refrigeration, ice houses were used to store perishable food, they were near freshwater lakes or packed with snow and ice in winter. Artificial refrigeration was first achieved in the mid 1700’s and improved in the 1800’s. By the mid 1800’s we could even make ice. For storing food at home, people used iceboxes, they would regularly have to replace the ice in them. This ice came from the large machines of the time that could produce them, or it was cut from frozen rivers. It wasn’t until the early 1900’s that refrigerators in the home became a reality.
I can’t even imagine living without my fridge.

In my parent’s house they have an old ‘refrigerator’. It’s a pantry with a shoot below it to fill with ice, and the pantry has holes in the bottop of it so that the cold corculates. Theres more to it, but I have no idea how it could have really been efficient. Pretty much Ice drawer, food on top. I would have put it all together. 🙂

Yeah, the clouds are different. The remind me of those little chocolate cakes with the curly white icing on them. I forgot what they were called.
Plus Cristina, I think that’s a backward uppercase ‘g’, or a j, who knows?
AND, what was Osborn eating? They sort of looked loke caviar. Or maybe it was coffee powder. Plus, what’s the point of a frige in Antartica?
PLUS, it looks more like a microwave than a frige, and I think that would actually help more.
I’m really hyper. I just had a bag of Hershey’s kisses. But for some reason, this strip reminds me of the “magic frige” commercial; the one where the wall swivels to hide the beer and the guys on the other side take it all. Then they hail the wall. I’m just random from all the chocolate I just ate.
