That Orca must have really thought he had a feast. In reality Orcas hunt in packs and have no problem taking prey that is as big or even bigger than themselves, sadly that includes blue whale calves. But not Max! Not this time Shamoo!

Yeah, he probably should let that one go, that’s a blue whale and they are an endangered species. Ever since the hunting craze of this animal earlier in the 1900′s their numbers are dangerously low for a species who’s chance of breeding is already so low.
Now the little penguins in this comic are not Emperor chicks like before but these ones are Adelies, visually they are different being they don’t have the white circles around their eyes at this stage.
It’s probably not very nice to call your kid dumb. But let’s face it, Wally is not going to be one of those parents with the “My kid is an honor roll student” bumper stickers.
Spitting something out like that could actually be kind of tricky for a penguin. Inside their beak and covering their entire tongue are little barbs that help keep food going in the direction of their stomach.
Teaching a new pet tricks can always be a bit frustrating at first. Especially if your pet is big enough to eat your friends.
This creature isn’t entirely fictional, other than maybe the thawing back to life part, his size is exaggerated a bit, and I don’t believe Penguinis Maximus was an official scientific name. But there were in fact prehistoric penguins. From fossil findings they stood nearly six feet tall and weighed in at up to 300 pounds.
It’s funny how fun it is to catch a warped reflection of yourself, whether it’s in a fun house at the fair or even just in a store window that gives you really short legs or a wide head. You’ll stand there dancing around finding amusement in puppeteerting your altered image, at least until you see that other people are standing around finding amusement in watching you.
Antarctica has no shortage of ice caves. They are so cool looking. I encourage you to browse ice cave photography any time you get the chance. I’ve seen one documentary where they went inside an iceburg that had caverns and fresh water pools in it. Was really amazing.
